Plugging away…

Published by Jon under website update

We’re still plugging away trying the get all of the content into the site, we’re also still tweaking the design and so on, so if you see that stuff that looks shit, rest assured we’re probably aware it looks shit, and have added it to our task list. Please do let us know in the comments of this post if you find any issues, but don’t be a twat.

What’s going on?

Published by Jon under website update

You’re probably wondering what the heck happened to the driftingfalling website, and the simple answer is that we’re converting to wordpress for content management. It won’t look like this for long, fear not. But in the meantime it will be much easier for us to keep you updated. Please bear with us, we’ll be back up to speed before long. We promise.

Trying not to temp the fates

I’ve been looking at the release schedule, and grinning for the last half hour. We have some truly stunning releases coming your way in the coming months, but just as I avoid walking under ladders, I also try not unmasque layed plans too early for fear of tempting the fates who thus far have been very kind to us. That said, the next few releases include, the debut full length from Oppressed by the Line entitled “Soft Focus”, the debut full length from Matt Bartram of Air Formation called “Arundel”, and a stunning new ep from Televise entitled “Sometimes Splendid Confusion”.

Published by Jon under the move, website update

The move is complete, and we’re back up and running. Thanks for everyone who has been so patient with us during this transition. We’re currently sorting through our release schedule and gearing up for the next round of releases. We’ve resumed orders directly from the label as well, and notice we’ve added links for you to purchase our releases via iTunes.

The House of St Colme Burnt Down

Published by Jon under my kappa roots, new releases

The House of St Colme Burnt DownYou have a child and watch it take its first steps into the world….ok maybe that going a little over board, but man are we excited to announce that The House of St Colme Burnt Down by My Kappa Roots is out and available for purchase. When we started Drifting Falling we had a few demos that we’d collected over the course of a few months from friends and friends of friends. One of the demos that helped fuel the fire and passion to start Drifting Falling was a 3 track demo by My Kappa Roots. Having come full circle and after more than a couple sleep deprived nights. The House of St Colme Burnt Down takes its first wobbly steps into the world.

Red Walk

Published by Jon under alec cheer, new releases, roster

Red WalkWhen looking for artists to work with when starting Drifting Falling, we had a hard and fast rule…we’ll call it the “holy shit rule”. An artist’s music had to make you think or say holy shit when listening to it to be considered for release. After a tip from a good friend, and listening to a few tracks from Night Maps by Cheer; the holy shit factor was fully realised. A few short months later and Red Walk is the result. Superb!
